An introductory level qualification which is recognized by Insurance Authorities for licensing of insurance professionals. The certificate equips students with foundation knowledge in insurance. It is ideal for administrative or operational staff as well as support staff in functions such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, and Finance.

Prospective students should have at least five ordinary level subjects. It can be completed in at least four months of study. One can study either Short Term or Long Term Insurance.

The examination is based on the prescribed module which is obtainable from the Institute at a fee.
